Our school activity videos

As part of games lessons in Year 5/6 Soccer 2000 coaches have been teaching the children indoor athletics.
They have recorded the children’s attempts at different events. We were chosen as one of the top 6 schools in Wolverhampton, based on these indoor athletics results, and asked to compete in finals at St Chads.
We really enjoyed ourselves and came away with silver medal!

Young Writers!

Recently D'Eyncourt School submitted some of our Year 2 children’s work for 'Young Writers' My First Acorostic competition. In this exciting competition, children were asked to write a piece of acrostic poetry on a theme that inspired them. The competition was used as an introduction to poetry and creative writing that children found both inspiring and fun. This competition received in excess of 43,000 poems from all over the UK and overseas, so it is with great pride to announce that 15 of our children’s work were selected for publication based on creativity and imagination.

We recently took part in an evening performance at the Civic Hall along with 22 other schools that thrilled the audience with a dazzling display of song, dance and drama.
Our 42-strong choir of 7 to 10 year olds sang a song called Refuge, a song that celebrates the joy of caring for others in a multi cultural society.

During the Summer Term in 2009 some of our children in year 5/6 entered a competition to design a poster against anti social behaviour on buses. Some of our children were very successful, taking, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The winning designs were made into large posters which were displayed in Wolverhampton Bus Station. Here are some of the talented artists receiving there certificates and prizes from a couple of officers from the
West Midlands Police Force.

Just a couple of general achievements, firstly Chloe and Thomas for making these wonderful Aztec dragon shields out of coloured tissue paper.  Also a mention to Sophie who made a delicious cake which she shared with Y5/6W for doing well on sports day.

Winners of the New Park Village North-East Year 3/4. 5-aside tournament. Brilliant, well done! Thank you very much to their excellent NPV football coaches - Sam, Ashley and Anna for all your hard work too!

Here is William who is only in Rec but made a wonderful game all by himself. He collected materials from the creative area and objects from around the class.  To play his game you had to spin the spinner, read the word and then you won the object – look out
Fisher Price!

A big well done to Makari who after taking a N.F.E.R reading test recently was graded to have the reading ability of a 14 year old!
Well done to Alana and Joshua for winning these kickboxing trophies at
a competition in Featherstone.
