1.15. p.m - 3.20 p.m. (Juniors)

Due to the present congestion on the Infant Playground at the start and close of the school day, and the obvious possibility of us “losing a child” only our own children are permitted on the playground.

All parents to be behind the main gates

Those parents who escort their children from the Fairview Road entrance will have to leave their child on the Infant playground. The rule will obviously enable the teacher on duty to have a view of all the children and help ensure their security and safety.

Thanks for your co-operation.

Parents are requested to inform school, either by telephone or letter, giving the reasons for all absences.

An Education Welfare Officer calls at the school and can be asked to make a home visit to any parent if so requested.

Children are expected to be in the playground no sooner than ten minutes before the commencement of school, staff are on duty from 8.45 a.m. in the morning.

To encourage full attendance termly certificates of good/outstanding attendance are presented to children.
ADDITIONAL SECURITY - MAIN ENTRANCE FOR ALL ADULTS
We have been advised to provide additional security and have therefore altered the procedures for all adults entering the school.  We ask that all parents and adults enter the school ONLY through the main entrance.  This entrance now has a camera/code automation and a lobby has been created where queries will be addressed.

(Please note: It may be wise if you have small children to ensure they use the toilet at home just before leaving for school as you will no longer be able to walk into school and use our facilities through the playground entrances)

These arrangements mirror those of other primary schools and it ensures we are acting within recent health and safety guidelines.
Infant Parents.
Can we remind you that school finishes at 3:15 for the Infants. Please be on the playground/garden area behind your child's class ready to pick them up. We will not dismiss your child unless we recognise an adult assigned for pick up. We will not send them with a brother/sister who is at the school.

Please note: If you are late your child will be kept in the main reception area and you must come to the main entrance and be admitted into school to collect your child.
