Educational visits are an important aspect of the curriculum and are generally used to support class topic work.

The majority of such visits are to places in the local or Midlands area.

This is partly to keep down costs and also to increase the children’s interest, knowledge and awareness of their local environment.

The venues for our visits may include:

Local short walk – shops,
local facilities.
The Birmingham
Science Museum.
Local Sikh and Hindu Temples.
Mary Arden House.
Pendeford Mill Farm.
The Black Country Museum.
Cosford Grange Farm.
Oak Hall.
Dudley Zoo
Telford Park.

Voluntary contributions are requested for the payment of such visits but we will do our utmost to ensure that no child will be excluded from the visit on financial grounds.
During the final term in Year 6, children are given the opportunity to go on a residential stay at the Pioneer Centre. The centre is located near to Clebury Mortimer. As well as experiencing the pleasure and responcibilities of communal living the pupils have the opportunity to experience challenging activities ranging from caving to archery. The theme for their stay is teamwork. Children learn how to support each other and their own confidence soars! This is their chance to make some memories that
will last forever!
We give all our children the opportunity to take part in events which will improve their confidence in front of other children or adults.  During the year chidren participate in either a class or year group performance or assembly.
These may take the form of outlining work done in class or performing a special play for occasions such as Easter or a Leaver's performance.
The Harvest Assembly and Christmas, Easter and Summer Concerts give the children the further opportunity to perform in front of a wider audience comprising of parents, governors
and friends.
